To analyze the prescription rules of preparations containing Crataegi Fructus in the drug standards of the People's Republic of China Ministry of Public Health-Chinese Patent Drug(hereinafter referred to as Chinese patent drug), and provide some references for clinical application and the research and development of new medicines. Based on TCMISS(V2.5), the prescriptions containing Crataegi Fructus in Chinese patent drug were collected to build the database; association rules, frequency statistics and other data mining methods were used to analyze the disease syndrome, common drug compatibility and prescription rules. There were a total of 308 prescriptions containing Crataegi Fructus, involving 499 kinds of Chinese medicines, 34 commonly used drug combinations, and mainly for 18 kinds of diseases. Drug combination analysis was done with "Crataegi Fructus-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium" and "Crataegi Fructus-Poria" as the high-frequency herb pairs and with "stagnation" and "diarrhea" as the high-frequency diseases. The results indicated that the Crataegi Fructus in different herb pairs had a roughly same function, and its therapy effect was different in different diseases. The prescriptions containing Crataegi Fructus in Chinese patent drug had the effect of digestion, and they were widely used in clinical application, often used together with spleen-strengthening medicines to achieve different treatment effects; the prescription rules reflected the prescription characteristics of Crataegi Fructus for different diseases, providing a basis for its clinically scientific application and the research and development of new medicines.

Background: Liuweizhiji Gegen-Sangshen oral liquid (LGS), as a Chinese medicinal preparation, is developed from a Traditional Chinese medicinal formula consisting of six Chinese medicinal herbs, including Puerariae lobatae radix, Hoveniae semen, Imperatae rhizoma, Crataegi fructus, Mori fructus and Canarli fructus, and has been extensively utilized in the prevention and treatment of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) clinically. Previous study has demonstrated that LGS dose-dependently mitigated ALD in rat models. However, whether and how the main characteristic constituents of LGS (the flavonoid and polysaccharide fractions, LGSF and LGSP) contribute to the anti-ALD effect remains unclear.

Unlabelled: The color and chemical composition of Crataegi Fructus (CF) vary greatly during processing, but few studies have explored the relationship between them. To address this issue, the effect of chemical composition on the color change of CF during processing was evaluated by mass spectrometry and color detection. A total of 107 compounds, including organic acids, flavonoids, furans, terpenoids, lignans and alkaloids, were identified from 26 representative samples by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS, among them, the first three compounds changed most significantly during CF processing.

Thiacloprid is one of the first generation of neonicotinoid insecticide with a chloropyridine structure like imidacloprid and acetamiprid. Recent studies have revealed its environmental and non-target organism toxicity, leading to restrictions on its use in many countries and regions. Despite limitations, thiacloprid has been detected in various environmental samples, food sources, and biological specimens, posing a significant threat to human health, necessitating advanced detection methods for monitoring.

Danshen-Shanzha Formula (DSF) is a well-known herbal combination comprising (known as Danshen in Chinese) and (known as Shanzha in Chinese), It has been documented to exhibit considerable benefits for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and was used extensively in the treatment of atherosclerotic cardiac and cerebral vascular diseases over decades. Despite several breakthroughs achieved in the basic research and clinical applications of DSF over the past decades, there is a lack of comprehensive reviews summarizing its features and research, which hinders further exploration and exploitation of this promising formula. This review aims to provide a comprehensive interpretation of DSF in terms of its ethnopharmacological relevance, preparation methods, chemical constituents, pharmacokinetic properties and pharmacological effects.
