Photodynamic therapy becomes a widely spread method due to cancer growth in the world. However, to detect tumors at early stages, it is necessary to carry out diagnostic measures in a timely manner. Our aim was to test the developed pharmaceutical composition, which can be used for external application in early fluorescent diagnostics even in the absence of visual changes, as well as for therapy effectiveness control. Pharmacokinetic studies on laboratory animals and volunteers were carried out. The results have shown that the dipotassium salt of Yb3+-dimethoxyhematoporphyrin IX, which is highly soluble in water and stable in storage, is a promising marker for earlier diagnostics of tumors and can be used in dermatology, dentistry, gynecology, cosmetology, ear, nose, and throat diseases, veterinary, and in other areas of medicine.

Crystal Violet (CV) is a vibrant and harmful dye known for its toxicity to aquatic life and potential carcinogenic effects on humans. This study explores the removal of CV through photocatalysis driven by visible light, as well as examining the antibacterial and antibiofilm characteristics of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) synthesized from the aerial roots of Ficus benghalensis. Various characterization techniques were employed to confirm the optical properties, crystal lattices, and morphology of ZnO NPs.

Background: Schistosomiasis is caused by infection with parasitic worms and affects more than 250 million people globally. The detection of schistosome derived circulating cathodic and anodic antigens (CCA and CAA) has proven highly valuable for detecting active infections, causing both intestinal and urinary schistosomiasis.
Aim: The combined detection of CCA and CAA was explored to improve accuracy in detecting infections.

This study assesses radiation doses in multi-slice computed tomography (CT) using epoxy resin and PMMA phantoms, focusing on the relationship between TAR (tissue air ratio) and kilovoltage peak (kVp). The research was conducted using a Hitachi Supria 16-slice CT scanner. An epoxy resin phantom was fabricated from commercially available materials, to simulate human tissue.

Serum amyloid A (SAA) is a key biomarker for diagnosing inflammatory responses in diseases like influenza and COVID-19. An electrochemiluminescence (ECL) biosensor has been constructed for signal enhancement in SAA detection by encapsulating 4,4',4″,4‴-(1,3,6,8-pyrenetetrayl) tetrakis-benzoic acid (TBAPy) into liposomes. Such biomimetic encapsulation shields the biologically important membrane to avoid aggregation of TBAPy and prevents quenching.

Methods: In this study, we used cytometric bead array (CBA) and chemiluminescence (ECL). These two methods were used to test serum and plasma samples from 50 healthy adult volunteers and 50 rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients' cytokine levels.
