A method for increasing the productivity of ESI LC-MS/MS (electrospray ionization-liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry) was proposed and applied. After IF (isoelectric focusing) of the sample using IPG (immobilized pH gradient) strip, the strip was cut to sections, and every section was treated according to trypsinolysis protocol for MS/MS analysis. The peptides produced were further analyzed by ESI LC-MS/MS. The procedure allows to: •identify many more proteins and proteoforms compared to shotgun analysis of extracts.•build a semi-virtual 2DE map of identified proteins.

The high salinity and organic content in oil and gas wastewaters can cause ion suppression during liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS) analysis, diminishing the sensitivity and accuracy of measurements in available methods. This suppression is severe for low molecular weight organic compounds such as ethanolamines (, monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), -methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), and ,-ethyldiethanolamine (EDEA)). Here, we deployed solid phase extraction (SPE), mixed-mode LC, triple quadrupole MS with positive electrospray ionization (ESI), and a suite of stable isotope standards (, one per target compound) to correct for ion suppression by salts and organic matter, SPE losses, and instrument variability.

Bisphenols may negatively impact human health. In this study, we propose the use of HPLC-FLD for the simultaneous determination of bisphenols in pericardial fluid samples collected from patients with coronary artery disease undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery. For sample preparation, a fast, simple, and "green" DLLME method was used, achieving mean recovery values in the range of 62%-98% with relative standard deviations between 2% and 6% for all analytes.

Revumenib (SNDX-5613) is a powerful and specific inhibitor of the menin-KMT2A binding interaction. It is a small molecule that is currently being researched to treat KMT2A-rearranged (KMT2Ar) acute leukemias. Revumenib (RVB) has received Orphan Drug Designation from the US FDA for treating patients with AML.

Chinese hamster ovary (CHO)-K1 cells are widely used in biomedical research relevant to cancer, toxicity screening, and viruses, as well as in the production of recombinant proteins for biopharmaceuticals. In this study, liquid chromatography (LC)-electrospray ionization (ESI)-higher energy collisional dissociation (HCD)-tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) was used to characterize the surface and lysate N-glycans of CHO-K1 cells and analyze their structures. The relative quantity (%) of each N-glycan and absolute quantity (pmol) of total N-glycans were also obtained.
