This study provided a quantitative prediction of best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) for cataract patients using the inverse problem algorithm (IPA) technique earlier proposed by the authors. : To this end, seven risk factors (age, BMI, MAP, IOP, HbA1c, LDL-C, and gender) were linked by a semi-empirical formula by normalizing each factor into a dimensionless range of -1.0 to +1.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAim: To demonstrate a rare case of ciliary body leiomyoma in our patient Case report: A 72-year-old female reported to our clinic for a preventive examination, upon which we found a dome-shaped grey-brownish mass on the retinal periphery. After completing gonioscopic and ultrasound examinations, we referred the patient to a specialist facility. Due to a finding of suspicious malignant melanoma, we completed the MRI scan and recommended enucleation of the eyeball.

This prospective, non-randomized, comparative study aimed to compare the visual outcomes and patient satisfaction after implantations of three presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (IOLs) after myopic refractive surgery. It was conducted from January 2020 to December 2021 in Shanghai Heping Eye Hospital. Patients were divided into three groups based on the type of IOL implanted.

Introduction: The aim of this study is to demonstrate the relevance of primary acute angle closure (APAC) and COVID-19 infection, compare the demographic features and manifestations between COVID-19 positive and negative patients with APAC, and infer the underlying mechanism.
Methods: This study is based on all patients diagnosed with APAC at the glaucoma center of Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital of Fudan University (Fenyang road center) from 15th December 2022 to 11th January 2023. Totally 171 APAC cases were categorized into COVID-19 positive and negative group.
