Despite the significant growth in Sonali chicken production across Bangladesh, inadequate disease surveillance and control measures along with indiscriminate antimicrobial use remain major challenges to the sector. In this study, we evaluated the disease burden and antimicrobial prescription patterns of Sonali chickens in Bangladesh using a web-based data recording system from 2020 to 2021 and analyzed 1690 cases. The diagnoses recorded in the system were presumptive, as they were based on clinico-epidemiological history, clinical signs, and gross necropsy findings noted by registered veterinarians.

A single-oral-dose, two-period cross-over study with a 5-day washout period under fed condition was conducted in six beagle dogs to explore the pharmacokinetic characteristics and relative bioavailability between sustained-release (SR) tablets and enteric-coated (EC) tablets of pentoxifylline (PTX) and its metabolite. The results showed that M5 exhibited the highest exposure level, while M1 demonstrated the lowest in both the SR and EC tablet groups. For PTX and M1, T were 0.

Extramammary Paget disease is an uncommon cutaneous malignancy that primarily affects areas rich in apocrine glands. Here, we aim to present an 84-year-old woman with a distinctive perianal neoplastic process comprised of conventional Paget disease with an intertwined in-situ glandular component. Rare foci of glands embedded in pools of mucin were also identified in the most recent excision, consistent with mucinous adenocarcinoma.
