There is growing consensus in the Alzheimer's community that combination therapy will be needed to maximize therapeutic benefits through the course of the disease. However, combination therapy raises complex questions and decisions for study sponsors, from preclinical research through clinical trial design to regulatory, statistical, and operational considerations. In January 2024, the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation convened an expert advisory board to discuss the key considerations in each of these areas.

Objective: In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant number of critical care nurses have left their positions, citing overload, burnout, and moral distress. This scoping review is not just a theoretical exploration but a timely and crucial investigation into the aspects and structures of critical care nursing that can make the job fulfilling and appealing, thereby promoting intrinsic motivation and staff retention.

Current diagnosis emphasizes the detection of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) using a fixed threshold of ≥15-mm maximum wall thickness (MWT). Background: Receptor Expressed in Lymphoid Tissues (RELT) is a TNFRSF member that has two paralogs, RELL1 and RELL2; the three proteins are collectively referred to as RELT family members (RELTfms).
Methods: We sought to evaluate RELT expression in cancerous cells by using real-time PCR, western blotting, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The mechanism of RELT-induced cell death was assessed by western blotting, flow cytometry, luciferase assays, and morphology staining.
