Blunt trauma to orbit can lead to orbital blow out fracture. Computerized tomography of paranasal sinuses plays the main role in diagnosing it. Repairing the defect and restoring the orbital contents is a challenging task for the surgeon. Endoscopic endonasal approach in reduction of blow out fracture provides good cosmetic outcomes and grossly minimize surgical complications. We report a case of 18-year-old male presented with diplopia, restriction of eye movements and enophthalmos due to Road traffic accident. CT paranasal sinuses showed right side floor, medial orbital wall fracture with medial rectus muscle entrapment. We planned endoscopic endonasal approach to reduce the fracture and multilayered repair done using bone resected from choncha bullosa, fat and fascia lata. Patient relieved of symptoms post operatively without any complications.

Introduction: The infratemporal fossa (ITF) is considered an uncommon location for giant cell granuloma (GCG), a rare benign disease that is frequently detected in the maxilla and mandible.

Presentation Of Case: A 47-year-old male presented with right-sided hearing loss, tinnitus, and jaw claudication. Radiological imaging confirmed the presence of a mass in the ITF accompanied by bone erosion.

Endoscopic endonasal dacryocystectomy.

Am J Ophthalmol Case Rep

March 2025

Govindram Seksaria Institute of Dacryology, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India.

Purpose: To report an exceptionally rare instance of Endoscopic endonasal dacryocystectomy.

Observations: Dacryocystectomy (DCT), a procedure of surgical extirpation of the lacrimal sac is normally approached by an external route. However, an endoscopic endonasal approach DCT is rare and usually reserved in cases where intellectual disabilities of a patient become a restrictive factor in maintenance of a healthy external wound.

Introduction Surgical resection remains a standard treatment of non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPA). These tumors have significant intratumoral variability of growth rates and texture hardness. This preliminary study aims to identify variations in gene expression of different locations and textures within the same tumor to better explain tumor pathophysiology.

Isolated sphenoid sinus disease (ISSD) is a rare condition that accounts for roughly 3% of all sinusitis cases. ISSD is predominantly caused by infectious and inflammation processes, with underlying fungal pathologies. This case series aims to illustrate the endonasal endoscopic management of different isolated sphenoid fungal pathologies.

Predictive Modeling of Non-functioning Giant Pituitary Neuroendocrine Tumor Resection: A Multi-Planar Perspective.

World Neurosurg

January 2025

Department of Neurosurgery, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Department of Otolaryngology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Electronic address:

Background: Giant pituitary neuroendocrine tumor (GPitNET) are challenging tumors with low rates of gross total resection (GTR) and high morbidity. Previously reported machine-learning (ML) models for prediction of pituitary neuroendocrine tumor extent of resection (EOR) using preoperative imaging included a heterogenous dataset of functional and non-functional pituitary neuroendocrine tumors of various sizes leading to variability in results.

Objective: The aim of this pilot study is to construct a ML model based on the multi-dimensional geometry of tumor to accurately predict the EOR of non-functioning GPitNET.
