Unlabelled: In posterior shoulder instability (recurrent dislocation, involuntary posterior subluxation or voluntary subluxation that has become involuntary), surgery may be considered in case of failure of functional treatment if there are no psychological contraindications. Acromial bone-block with pediculated deltoid flap, as described by Kouvalchouk, is an alternative to iliac bone-block, enabling triple shoulder locking by the blocking effect, the retention hammock provided by the deltoid flap and posterior capsule repair. Arthroscopy allows shoulder joint exploration and diagnosis of associated lesions, with opening and conservation of the posterior capsule; it greatly facilitates bone-block positioning and capsule reinsertion. The present report describes the procedure in detail.
Level Of Evidence: Technical note.

This study aimed to (1) examine the acute changes in the glenohumeral range of motion (ROM) after repetitive pitching and (2) clarify whether arm speed during pitching is associated with changes in the glenohumeral internal rotation (IR) and horizontal adduction (HADd) ROM. Fifteen healthy college males with over five years of baseball experience participated. Glenohumeral ROMs of IR, external rotation, and HADd were measured using a digital inclinometer before, immediately after, and one day after completing 100 repetitive full-effort pitches.

Background: Glenoid bone loss presents a complex challenge in the management of patients with glenohumeral osteoarthritis (GHOA) undergoing Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty (RSA). Eccentric reaming and bone grafting have been utilized to address this issue but are associated with their own set of challenges. This study explores the effectiveness of augmented glenoid baseplate RSA in addressing glenoid bone loss.

Background: pelvis and shoulder are deeply integrated. They are connected by myofascial slings. The pelvic and spinal posture affects the position of the scapula and the activity of its muscles and affects acromio-humeral distance and so that affects shoulder movement.

Methods: A database of over 10,000 scapulae utilized for preoperative planning for shoulder arthroplasty was analyzed with a Statistical Shape Model to obtain 5 scapula sizes including the mean and 2 standard deviations. For each scapula model, one glenosphere size (33-42 mm) was selected as the best fit based on consensus among 3 shoulder surgeons.

Background: Musculoskeletal adaptations are common in overhead athletes. As they also are involved in injury prevention, there has been an increase in their evaluation through shoulder screening over the last years. However, for some evaluations, and especially for functional testing, there is a lack of normative values, which limits the interpretation of the values measured.
