Fusarium spp. are an uncommon cause of fungaemia in immunocompromised and neutropenic patients that may hematogenously disseminate to the eyes. Herein, we describe a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and a prior history of extensive corticosteroid exposure who developed disseminated Fusarium solani infection following chemotherapy despite posaconazole prophylaxis. She was successfully treated with combination liposomal amphotericin B and voriconazole, intraocular injections of voriconazole, topical amphotericin B and bilateral vitrectomy. We also review published literature describing the management of endogenous Fusarium endophthalmitis in immunocompromised hosts.

In order to scientifically search for new sources of secondary metabolites with valuable qualities for phytopharmacognosy, tasks requiring a step-by-step solution were set. The primary task is the development of technologies for obtaining in vitro highly productive biomass of cells of relict gymnosperms of the genus , capable of accumulating various classes of secondary metabolites. The study of the accumulation and localization of secondary metabolites allowed us to evaluate the biological activity and cytotoxicity of in vitro cultures.

We describe a unique case of sclerouveitis that progressed to endogenous endophthalmitis in a 69-year-old male with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). We highlight the risk of treating sclerouveitis with oral corticosteroids, which can exacerbate an infection and contribute to disease progression. A 69-year-old male with CLL on zanubrutinib, a second-generation Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor, was admitted to the hospital for osteomyelitis of the left foot.

Continuous cropping of peanuts presents significant challenges to sustainable production due to soil-borne diseases like root rot caused by Fusarium species. In this study, field inoculation experiments treatments and in vitro agar plate confrontation tests were conducted, including non-inoculated controls (CK), inoculation with Pseudomonas fluorescens (PF), Fusarium oxysporum (FO), and co-inoculation with both (PF + FO).
