The pulsed dye laser (PDL) is used for the treatment of a variety of vascular and nonvascular disorders, and its therapeutic efficacy often depends on purpura as an endpoint. However, post-PDL purpura is an undesirable side effect of treatment as it may increase patient dissatisfaction and downtime. Recent studies have suggested that repeat treatment with PDL may speed the resolution of post-procedural purpura; however, there is paucity of data on using repeat PDL treatment specifically for post-PDL purpura. We report three cases of 585 nm PDL-induced purpura treated with 595 nm PDL with clinically significant improvement. We suggest that treatment with PDL, which targets hemoglobin and its breakdown products, after initial PDL treatment may reduce post-PDL purpura.

Trastuzumab is now increasingly being used as a potent HER2 inhibitor in treating breast cancer, while acneiform rashes sometimes arise as skin-related side effects in patients undergoing treatment with HER2 inhibitors, and their specificity as drug-induced eruptions makes their management quite challenging. Pulsed dye laser (PDL) therapy has been utilized to treat a wide variety of vascular lesions, achieving excellent outcomes. A 595 nm PDL was used to treat a 38-year-old woman suffering from an acneiform rash induced by trastuzumab as neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer.

Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent benign disease characterized by growth of the endometrial tissue outside the uterine wall. Several reports suggest the possibility of the pathogenesis and recurrence of endometriosis being related to functions of stem/progenitor cells of the endometrium. The drawback of the widely used method of using Hoechst 33342, a fluorescent dye, to collect stem cell-like populations, is the requirement of an ultraviolet (UV) excitation source not commonly provided on standard flow cytometers.

Background And Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of methylene blue dye with 660-nm diode laser in cavity disinfection and to compare the total bacterial count in dentinal samples preexcavation, postexcavation, and postdisinfection. The study design was experimental in vivo.
Materials And Methods: Fifteen children aged 5-12 years with 15 primary molars requiring atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) were selected.

Researchers have reported that Bacillus megaterium BM18-2 reduces Cd toxicity in Hybrid Pennisetum, but understanding the interaction between plants and associated endophytes is crucial for understanding phytoremediation strategies under heavy metal stress. The current study aims to monitor the colonization patterns of GFP-labeled endophytic bacteria BM18-2 on Hybrid Pennisetum grass. Additionally, it will monitor Cd's effect on plant bacterial colonization.

High throughput intracellular delivery of biological macromolecules is crucial for cell engineering, gene expression, therapeutics, diagnostics, and clinical studies; however, most existing techniques are either contact-based or have throughput limitations. Herein, we report a light-activated, contactless, high throughput photoporation method for highly efficient and viable cell transfection of more than a million cells within a minute. We fabricated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanoflakes that was mixed with a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanocomposite thin sheet with an area of 3 cm and a thickness of ∼600 μm.
