Article Abstract
Gene therapies have emerged as a promising treatment for congestive heart failure, yet they lack a method for minimally invasive, uniform delivery. To address this need we developed Cerberus, a minimally invasive parallel wire robot for cardiac interventions. Prior work on controlling the movement of Cerberus required accurate knowledge of device geometry. In order to determine the geometry of the device , this paper presents work on developing an auto-calibration procedure to measure the geometry of the robot using force sensors to move injector. The presented auto-calibration routine is able to identify the shape of the device to within 0.5 mm and 0.9°.

We demonstrate the facile fabrication of metal-wire-embedded microtrenches interconnected with semiconducting ZnO nanowires (ZNWs) through the continuous mechanical machining of micrograting trenches, the mechanical embedding of solution-processable metal wires therein, and the metal-mediated hydrothermal growth of ZNWs selectively thereto. The entire process can be performed at room or a very low temperature without resorting to vacuum, lithography, and etching steps, thereby enabling the use of flexible polymer substrates of scalable sizes. We optimize the fabrication procedure and resulting structural characteristics of this nanowire-interconnected flexible trench-embedded electrode (NIFTEE) architecture.

The objective of this comprehensive review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the effectiveness of robot-aided percutaneous screw fixation versus traditional surgical techniques in managing acetabular fractures. We plan to carry out an exhaustive exploration of certain databases (PubMed, CNKI, Embase, and Cochrane Library) to find studies that have been published since the beginning of these databases until August 2024, focusing on patients with acetabular fractures. These studies will compare the efficacy of robot-assisted percutaneous screw fixation with conventional surgical methods.
