The formation cross-section of medical isotope Mo from the Mo(n,γ) reaction at the neutron energy of 0.025eV and from the Mo(n,2n) reaction at the neutron energies of 11.9 and 15.75MeV have been determined by using activation and off-line γ-ray spectrometric technique. The thermal neutron energy of 0.025eV was used from the reactor critical facility at BARC, Mumbai, whereas the average neutron energies of 11.9 and 15.75MeV were generated using Li(p,n) reaction in the Pelletron facility at TIFR, Mumbai. The experimentally determined cross-sections were compared with the evaluated nuclear data libraries of ENDF/B-VII.1, CENDL-3.1, JENDL-4.0 and JEFF-3.2 and are found to be in close agreement. The Mo(n,2n)Mo reaction cross-sections were also calculated theoretically by using TALYS-1.8 and EMPIRE-3.2 computer codes and compared with the experimental data.

The shelf-life of grapes is reduced due to infection by various pathogens and mechanical damage, which consequently limits their availability on the market and results huge economic losses. Active packaging films are expected to overcome this problem. In this study, packaging films (CMC-Gly-PMA) were developed using wheat straw-based carboxymethyl cellulose (2 %), glycerol (30 % w/w of CMC) and polymalate (0.

The efficient mixing of fluids at microscale dimensions presents challenges due to the dominant laminar flow regime which restricts convective mixing. This study introduces a numerical analysis of a novel microrobotic mixing system with a levitated propeller robot, driven by magnetic fields, within a Y-shaped microchannel with a square cross-section (500 × 500 μm). Our research investigates the fluid mixing effectiveness facilitated by the microrobot through various levitation heights and orientations to enhance the mixing index (MI).

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an aquatic progressive resistance exercise (APRE) and PBM (associated or not) on morphology of skeletal muscle and biochemical markers using an experimental model of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Fifty male Wistar rats were randomly distributed into 5 groups: control group (CG); OA control (OAC); OA submitted to APRE (OAE); OA submitted to PBM (OAL); OA submitted to APRE and PBM (OAEL). Trained rats performed a water-jumping program carrying a load equivalent to 50-80% of their body mass strapped to their chest.
