Anomalous drainage of the inferior vena cava into the left atrium is a rare congenital condition. A 20-year-old girl was referred for recurrent transient ischemic attacks. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed a large ostium secundum atrial septal defect, and computed tomography showed anomalous drainage of the inferior vena cava into the left atrium. Through a right mini-thoracotomy, the opening of the inferior vena cava into the atrium was identified under the inferior edge of the interatrial septum, draining into the left atrium, and redirected to the right atrium, using a pericardial patch to reconstruct the atrial septum. Postoperative course was uneventful. Right mini-thoracotomy approach was effective in correcting the anomalous drainage of the inferior vena cava into the left atrium.

Aim: Percutaneous vertebroplasty is generally considered a safe procedure, however, cases of cardioembolism and cardiac perforation have been reported.
Case Presentation: A 69-year-old woman was referred to our emergency department after an outpatient echocardiogram revealed a "thrombus-like" formation involving the right heart. Two weeks before she had undergone percutaneous vertebroplasty of the third to fifth lumbar vertebrae due to osteoporotic fractures.
Primary liver cancer, predominantly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Tumor thrombus (TT) in the inferior vena cava (IVC) or right atrium (RA) significantly worsens prognosis. BACKGROUND The configuration of the hepatic arteries is known to vary substantially between individuals. Here, we report a rare retroperitoneal configuration of an accessory hepatic artery existing alongside a left and right hepatic artery branching from the proper hepatic artery. During routine dissection, we discovered an anomalous configuration of the hepatic arteries that does not fit the commonly used categorizations for abnormal hepatic vasculature.
We report a case in which a giant hepatic cyst located at the hepatic hilum and compressing the inferior vena cava was safely treated laparoscopically with careful attention to hemodynamics in a difficult fenestrated resection in a patient with severe kyphosis.
