Space creation dynamics (SCDs) describe actions players perform to create a scoring opportunity. This study compared SCDs and types of offense during three different three versus three (3vs.3) basketball small-sided games (SSGs) played in half court: 3vs.3 with man-to-man defense in half playing area (3vs.3), 3vs.3 with man-to-man defense in full playing area (3vs.3), and 3vs.3 with reduced shot clock (3vs.3). We also investigated the efficacy of SCDs in all SSGs and the reliability of SCDs in 3vs.3. While the efficacy of SCDs did not differ among these SSGs, 3vs.3 presented significantly more "space creation with ball dribbled" and "shot clock violations," and less "on ball screens." 3vs.3 presented no differences in the SCDs and types of offense compared with 3vs.3. Reliability within 3vs.3 was higher for "space creation with ball dribbled," "space creation without the ball," "set offenses," "fast breaks," and "loss of ball during passing or dribbling." We concluded that 3vs.3 basketball SSGs with different rules can be used for training different tactical behaviors important to formal games, especially since the 3vs.3 presented good reliability for many variables related to tactical behavior.

Background: Fatty infiltration (FI) of the supraspinatus is commonly seen in chronic large-to-massive rotator cuff tears. Evaluating FI in patients with severe muscle atrophy can be confusing.

Purpose/hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to investigate the anatomic relationship between the suprascapular artery and supraspinatus muscle on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to provide a method for defining the border of the supraspinatus muscle on Y-view MRI.

The return-to-play process' characteristics can vary by injury and sport type but are typically composed of phases of different durations, training targets, and intensities that gradually increase the physiological and mechanical load. In team sports, contact drills are a necessary part of the last phases of this process, and they should be planned using the optimal mechanical load. The present study investigated the external load and kinetic recovery in U19 soccer players performing 6vs6 and 3vs3 small-sided games.

The validity of small-sided games (SSG) for assessing physical fitness was evaluated in 21 female basketball players from senior ( = 8), under-18 years ( = 6), and under-16 years ( = 7) age categories. Players underwent fitness testing (countermovement jump [CMJ], agility T-test, repeated-sprint ability (RSA) test, and Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test [YYIRT1]) and 3vs3-SSG before and after a 6-week preseason. Player demands were monitored during SSG using local positioning system and heart rate technology.

Purpose: To compare perceived enjoyment (PE), % of heart rate peak (%HRpeak), blood lactate (La), rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and technical-tactical performance of soccer players after four-a-side (4vs4) and three-a-side (3vs3) small-sided games (SSGs) with goalkeepers.

Methods: Sixteen males (20.7 ± 0.
