Halophilic archaeal strain ZS-47-S was isolated from Zhoushan marine solar saltern, China. Cells were pleomorphic, stained Gram-negative, and formed red-pigmented colonies on agar plate. Strain ZS-47-S was able to grow at 20-50 °C (optimum 37 °C), at 0.9-4.8 M NaCl (optimum 3.4 M), at 0.005-1.0 M MgCl (optimum 0.03 M), and at pH 5.5-9.5 (optimum pH 6.5-7.5). The cells lysed in distilled water and the minimal NaCl concentration to prevent cell-lysis was 5% (w/v). The major polar lipids were CC and CC diether derivatives of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol phosphate methyl ester, phosphatidylglycerol sulfate, glucosyl mannosyl glucosyl diether, and three unidentified glycolipids. The 16S rRNA gene and rpoB' gene of strain ZS-47-S were phylogenetically related to the corresponding genes of Halomarina oriensis JCM 16495 (98.57 and 92.94% similarities, respectively) and Halomarina salina CGMCC 1.12543 (97.96 and 93.65% similarities, respectively). The DNA G + C content of strain ZS-47-S was 64.6 mol % (T ). The phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic properties suggested that strain ZS-47-S (=CGMCC 1.12563 = JCM 30037) represents a new species of Halomarina, for which the name Halomarina rubra sp. nov. is proposed.

The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of using probiotics with strains related to dopamine and gamma-aminobutyric acid production on clinical features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This randomized, controlled trial involved 38 children with ADHD and 42 children with ASD, aged 5-16 years, who received probiotics (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Levilactobacillus brevis 109/cfu/daily) or placebo for 12 weeks. Parent-reported symptoms were assessed using Conners' 3rd-Ed and the Social Responsiveness Scale Test, 2nd-Ed (SRS-2), and children completed the Conners Continuous Performance Test, 3rd-Ed (CPT 3) or Conners Kiddie CPT, 2nd-Ed (K-CPT 2).

Drone larvae (DL) has many biological activities thanks to the bioactive components it contains, but there are very few studies on its antimicrobial activity. The aim of this research was to determine the antifungal activity of DL (raw and lyophilised) water and ethanol extracts against fluconazole (FLU) sensitive and resistant yeast strains. The 87 fungal strains obtained from clinical samples were identified by phenotypic and molecular methods, and broth microdilution test was used for antifungal activity.

Transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS), have emerged as a generation of nonprecious catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), largely due to their theoretical hydrogen adsorption energy close to that of platinum. However, efforts to activate the basal planes of TMDs have primarily centered around strategies such as introducing numerous atomic vacancies, creating vacancy-heteroatom complexes, or applying significant strain, especially for acidic media. Soft and stretchable strain sensors are crucial for applications in human-machine interfaces, flexible robotics, and electronic skin.
