Noninductively Driven Tokamak Plasmas at Near-Unity Toroidal Beta.

Access to and characterization of sustained, toroidally confined plasmas with a very high plasma-to-magnetic pressure ratio (β_{t}), low internal inductance, high elongation, and nonsolenoidal current drive is a central goal of present tokamak plasma research. Stable access to this desirable parameter space is demonstrated in plasmas with ultralow aspect ratio and high elongation. Local helicity injection provides nonsolenoidal sustainment, low internal inductance, and ion heating. Equilibrium analyses indicate β_{t} up to ∼100% with a minimum |B| well spanning up to ∼50% of the plasma volume.

The association of muscle weakness with poor outcomes is well defined in general older population, but there is insufficient data on the association of muscle weakness with functionality in older patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). We aimed to investigate the predictivity of muscle weakness defined as low grip strength thresholds determined by EWGSOP2, and two regional thresholds in older patients with DM for functional disability. Purpose: Somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-PET is crucial for effective treatment stratification of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). In highly proliferating or poorly differentiated NENs, dual-tracer approaches using additional [F]FDG PET can effectively identify SSTR-negative disease, usually requiring separate imaging sessions. We evaluated the feasibility of a one-day dual-tracer imaging protocol with a low activity [F]FDG PET followed by an SSTR-PET using the recently introduced [F]SiFAlin-TATE tracer in a long axial field-of-view (LAFOV) PET/CT scanner and its implications in patient management.
