The tumor suppressor is frequently mutated in hormone receptor-negative, HER2-positive breast cancer (BC), contributing to tumor aggressiveness. Traditional ancillary methods like immunohistochemistry (IHC) to assess functionality face pre- and post-analytical challenges.
