is a dimorphic yeast. Depending on the nutrient conditions, the transition between growth as yeast cells and growth as hyphal cells can be reversibly induced. In addition to nutrient stress, induced DNA lesions, such as those produced by camptothecin, also induce hyphal growth regardless of the nutrient status. This protocol describes both methods of induction.
