Background: Parasomnia overlap disorder (POD) is a distinct parasomnia and characterized by concomitant manifestation of rapid-eye-movement (REM)- and non-REM (NREM)-parasomnias. Although not uncommon among patients with Parkinson's disease, POD is often under-investigated.

Case Presentation: This is the first report of patients with PD and features of POD that underwent deep brain stimulation. Our patients exhibited different outcomes of POD features after subthalamic deep brain stimulation.

Conclusions: We expect that the reporting of these first patients will open the discussion about the need for more detailed and broad-spectrum assessments regarding parasomnias in PD patients that undergo deep brain stimulation. The implications of our observations are both clinical and neurobiological.

Background: Infant alertness and neurologic changes can reflect life-threatening pathology but are assessed by physical exam, which can be intermittent and subjective. Reliable, continuous methods are needed. We hypothesized that our computer vision method to track movement, pose artificial intelligence (AI), could predict neurologic changes in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Hibernation, an adaptive mechanism to extreme environmental conditions, is prevalent among mammals. Its main characteristics include reduced body temperature and metabolic rate. However, the mechanisms by which hibernating animals re-enter deep sleep during the euthermic phase to sustain hibernation remain poorly understood.

The guide extension-facilitated ostial stenting (GEST) technique uses a guide extension catheter (GEC) to improve stent delivery during primary coronary angioplasty (PCI). GECs are used for stent delivery into the coronary arteries of patients with difficult anatomy due to tortuosity, calcification, or chronic total occlusion (CTO) vessels. Stent and balloon placement has become challenging in patients with increasing lesion complexity due to tortuosity, vessel morphology, length of the lesion, and respiratory movements.

Background: Perivascular Spaces (PVS) are a marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) that are visible on brain imaging. Larger PVS has been associated with poor quality of life and cognitive impairment post-stroke. However, the association between PVS and post-stroke sensorimotor outcomes has not been investigated.

Background: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder with childhood onset, however, there is no clear correspondence established between clinical ADHD subtypes and primary medications. Identifying objective and reliable neuroimaging markers for categorizing ADHD biotypes may lead to more individualized, biotype-guided treatment.

Methods: Here we proposed a graph convolution network for biological subtype detection (GCN-BSD) using both functional network connectivity (FNC) and non-imaging phenotypic data for ADHD biotype.
