We use strong subadditivity of entanglement entropy, Lorentz invariance, and the Markov property of the vacuum state of a conformal field theory to give new proof of the irreversibility of the renormalization group in d=4 space-time dimensions-the a theorem. This extends the proofs of the c and F theorems in dimensions d=2 and d=3 based on vacuum entanglement entropy, and gives a unified picture of all known irreversibility theorems in relativistic quantum field theory.

Objective: Early education and care (ECEC) is part of the everyday life of most children in developed economies presenting exceptional opportunity to support nutrition and ongoing food preferences. Yet, the degree to which such opportunity is captured in policy-driven assessment and quality ratings of ECEC services is unknown.
Design: Abductive thematic analysis was conducted, guided by key domains of knowledge in nutrition literature and examining identified themes within these domains.

The selection of information by individuals is a basic process in democratic institutions, including journalism. Publishers attempt to attract readers with "curiosity gap" headlines that offer vague descriptions rather than summarize an article. Lab and field experiments that compare the influence of these two styles have found conflicting results on their efficacy.

Academic major selection is a critical decision-making process influenced by various socioeconomic factors. This study investigates the behavioral patterns in educational choices, focusing on the impact of urban-rural background and family cultural capital on college students' major selection in China. Employing a mixed-methods approach, we analyzed data from a nationwide sample of 19,772 college students across various institution types.

The ability to manipulate excited-state decay cascades using molecular structure is essential to the application of abundant-metal photosensitizers and chromophores. Ligand design has yielded some spectacular results elongating charge-transfer excited state lifetimes of Fe(II) coordination complexes, but triplet metal-centered (MC) excited states─recently demonstrated to be critical to the photoactivity of isoelectronic Co(III) polypyridyls─have to date remained elusive, with temporally isolable examples limited to the picosecond regime. With this report, we show how strong-field donors and intramolecular π-stacking can conspire to stabilize a long-lived MC excited state for a remarkable 4.

Background: The rapid shift to video consultation services during the COVID-19 pandemic has raised concerns about exacerbating existing health inequities, particularly for disadvantaged populations. Intersectionality theory provides a valuable framework for understanding how multiple dimensions of disadvantage interact to shape health experiences and outcomes.
Objective: This study aims to explore how multiple dimensions of disadvantage-specifically older age, limited English proficiency, and low socioeconomic status-intersect to shape experiences with digital health services, focusing on video consultations.
