Methicillin-resistant (MRSA) causes osteomyelitis (OM), which seriously threatens public health due to its antimicrobial resistance. To increase the sensitivity of antibiotics and eradicate intracellular bacteria, a Zn and vancomycin (Van) codelivered nanotherapeutic (named Man-Zn/Van NPs) was fabricated and characterized via mannose (Man) modification. Man-Zn/Van NPs exhibit significant inhibitory activity against extra- and intracellular MRSA and obviously decrease the minimum inhibitory concentration of Van.

Ventricular tachycardia (VT) is a life-threatening arrhythmia often leading to sudden cardiac death, particularly in critically ill patients. Refractory VT, characterized by recurrent episodes requiring intervention, poses unique challenges for management, necessitating advanced diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. This systematic review evaluates the impact of imaging and pharmacological treatments in managing refractory VT in critically ill patients.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common malignancy with notable recent shifts in its burden distribution. Current data on CRC burden can guide screening, early detection, and treatment strategies for efficient resource allocation.

Methods: This study utilized data from the latest Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors (GBD) Study.

Food allergy poses substantial social, economic, and quality of life burdens which are even heavier for families that are struggling with food insecurity. In the United States (US), food insecurity disproportionately affects vulnerable and historically marginalized communities, such as Latino/a/x and Black households. Targeting these disparities via our recent Food Equality Initiative (FEI) research intervention was challenging due to the barriers faced by the target underserved populations, which included poor digital literacy, language barriers, and limited access to necessary resources.

Background: The Valsalva maneuver is essential in evaluating left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Traditionally, a self-directed Valsalva (SDV) maneuver is taught to patients using vague instructions such as "bear down." SDV is often not performed correctly leading to variable results and underestimation of the true provocable LVOT gradient.
