The clinical evaluation of angioedema is reliant on obtaining a thorough patient and family history with an assessment of risk factors and presenting symptoms unique to each subtype. It is important to distinguish between angioedema with and without urticaria as a primary step in the evaluation; thereafter, laboratory parameters and investigations allow for subsequent stratification. There is a significant disease burden associated with angioedema and thus it is essential for health care practitioners to establish a prompt and accurate diagnosis, and a comprehensive care plan that addresses the patient's physical and mental well-being alike.

This retrospective, real-life cohort was analyzed to detect the frequency of different HRM evolution patterns and their correlation with MNV types, morphological and functional changes in exudative nAMD under long-term anti-VEGF therapy. We evaluated optical coherence tomography (OCT) volume scans in 143 eyes of 94 nAMD patients (start of anti-VEGF therapy 2009-2018, therapy until the last visit) and recorded the VA at all visits. HRM evolution patterns were differentiated: pattern 1 = no HRM, pattern 2 = subretinal HRM resolved during follow-up, pattern 3 = persistent subretinal HRM with new HRM-boundary remodeling [BR], pattern 4 = persistent subretinal HRM without HRM-BR.

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) as one of the three critical priority pathogens. There is scarce literature evaluating the treatment outcomes in patients with CRPA infections treated with traditional non-carbapenem β-lactam (NCBL) agents. Thus, this study aims to assess the effectiveness of traditional NCBL compared to novel β-lactam agents (NVL) for treating non-carbapenem β-lactam -susceptible CRPA.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the risk factors for postoperative complications following Femoral Neck System (FNS) fixation in young patients with femoral neck fractures (FNFs).
Methods: We retrospective analyzed 133 patients with FNFs who underwent FNS fixation between May 2021 and October 2023. Potential risk factors that may affect the results included age, gender, body mass index (BMI), Pauwels classification, Garden classification, fracture anatomical classification, reduction method, reduction quality, coronal plane position of the FNS bolt.

: Emergency response teams are designed to promptly deliver care to hospitalized patients experiencing acute decompensation events. Pharmacists are an integrated part of emergency response teams and their presence at emergency response events has been shown to improve adherence to institutional and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) guidelines. This study assesses the impact of pharmacist involvement at emergency responses and time clinical pharmacists dedicate to emergency response.
