It is well known that the survival is higher in women compared to men and women have a better survival prognosis than men in some pathologies such as vascular dementia (VD). Our previous reports showed that the spontaneously hypertensive (SH) rat, an animal model of VD, exhibited dendritic atrophy of pyramidal neurons of the dorsal hippocampus (DH) and the prefrontal cortex (PFC) at 8 months of age. Cerebrolysin (CBL), a neurotrophic peptide mixture, reduces dendritic atrophy and improves the memory process in aged rats. Here, we investigated whether one pregnancy or/and CBL was capable of improving cognitive behavior and neuronal alterations in old female SH rats. Diastolic and systolic blood pressure were assessed before pregnancy (3 months old) and CBL administration (6 months old), and after CBL administration (12 months old). Immediately after of 6 months of CBL treatment, locomotor activity in novel environments and memory and learning by the Morris Water Maze test were evaluated. By the Golgi-Cox staining method, dendritic parameters were assessed in PFC and DH. Our results suggest that rats with one pregnancy showed better memory with an enhancement in dendritic length and dendritic spine density in the aforementioned regions.

Background: To explore the application value of multi-disciplinary collaborative diagnosis (MDT) and treatment combined with the case-based learning (CBL) teaching method based on real clinical cases in gynecological malignant tumor practice teaching.
Methods: A total of 120 clinical students who were interning in the Department of Gynecology in our hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into a research group ( = 60) and a control group ( = 60) according to the random number table method. The research group adopted a MDT combined with the CBL teaching model, while the control group followed a traditional teaching model.

Cannabicyclol ((±)-CBL), a minor phytocannabinoid, is largely unexplored, with its biological activity previously undocumented. We studied its conversion from cannabichromene (CBC) using various acidic catalysts. Montmorillonite (K30) in chloroform at room temperature had the highest yield (60%) with minimal byproducts.

Background: Minimally invasive dentistry is now becoming the forefront of restorative dentistry, involving less traumatic treatment protocols, conservation of tooth structure and surrounding tissues, enhancing the long-term survivability of treated teeth, and improving the overall quality of life for patients.
Objective: The current case report was conducted to evaluate acquiring deep subgingival interproximal carious lesions by the mean of thermacut bur gingivectomy, in terms of patient satisfaction through pain evaluation, Bleeding on Probing, Pocket Depth, Crestal Bone Level evaluation, and restoration evaluation using modified USPHS criteria.
Material And Methods: A patient with a deep proximal cavity in the posterior tooth was thoroughly examined and underwent Thermacut Bur Gingivectomy (TBG) after caries removal followed by direct resin composite restoration of the prepared cavity.

Objective: The objective was to systematically review original studies that assessed the influence of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) for managing peri‑implant diseases among habitual nicotinic product (NP) users.
Methods: The research question was "Is aPDT effective for managing peri‑implant diseases among NP users?" Indexed databases (PubMed/Medline, EMBASE, Scopus, and ISI Web of Knowledge) and Google Scholar were searched up to and including December 2024 without time and language barriers. Using Boolean operators, the following keywords were searched in different combinations: antimicrobial photodynamic therapy; crestal bone loss; peri‑implant diseases; probing depth; nicotine; and smoking.
