COMU is uronium-type coupling reagent based on OxymaPure. It showed several advantages over classical benzotriazole-based coupling reagents such as higher solubility, water-soluble byproduct, and monitoring the reaction by changing of color. Although COMU is well known to perform excellent in solution, but its hydrolytic stability in DMF limits its use in automatic peptide synthesizer. Herein, we evaluated the hydrolytic stability of COMU in γ-valerolactone (GVL), acetonitrile (ACN) and N-formylmorpholine (NFM) and compared its stability against DMF. The stability of COMU after 24 h was found to be 88 and 89% in GVL and ACN, respectively, when compared in DMF (14%). Further, the demanding Aib-ACP decapeptide and JR decapeptide were successfully synthesized using COMU dissolved in GVL or ACN while Fmoc amino acids were dissolved in DMF. In this study, activated halloysite nanotube (HNT) and phenyltriethoxysilane (PTES) were utilized for the first time to fabricate modified HNT materials and coat them onto melamine sponge (MS) substrate in the supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO) atmosphere. The successful coating of MS substrate was confirmed using SEM, EDS, XPS, and contact angle measurements. The drainage technique applied in the CO medium achieved the uniform coating of both the inner and outer surfaces of the MS.

Increasing world population, urbanization, and industrialization have led to an increase in demand in production and consumption, resulting in an increase in industrial solid wastes and pollutant levels in water. These two main consequences have become global problems. The high Si and Al content of solid wastes suggests that they can be used as raw materials for the synthesis of zeolites.

Shellac bio-coatings can enhance to improve quality and storage stability of fresh egg qualities with improved shell strength therefore minimizing the reduction the egg losses. Shellac bio-chitosan at 3 concentrations (1 %, 4 % and 8 % w/w) and shellac-1 % montmorillonite nanocomposites were applied as biocoatings to improve storage stability. Shellac-8 % (SH-8 %) coated eggs exhibited the lowest weight loss (1.

An oligomeric nanoparticle was obtained through an enzyme-catalyzed oxidation reaction using Horse Radish Peroxidase (HRP) with the 2,3-diaminopyridine (DAP) compound as the starting material. The structural characterizations of the synthesized oligomeric nanoparticles [[oligo(DAP)]] were performed with H-NMR and FT-IR. The surface features were determined by scanning electron microscopy.
