The Norwegian government has maintained a plan of action on nuclear safety and security for over 25 years. The need for such a plan grew from extensive nuclear activities during the Cold War, both civil and military, that led eventually to significant amounts of radioactive waste and nuclear material being stored in unsafe conditions in northwest Russia. As part of the program to implement the plan of action, the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority has maintained a program of bilateral regulatory cooperation with corresponding authorities in countries of the former Soviet Union for over 25 years.

Long-read DNA sequencing has propelled medicinal plant genomics forward, with over 400 genomes from 203 plants sequenced by February 2025. However, many genomes still have assembly and annotation flaws, with only 11 gapless telomere-to-telomere assemblies. The core challenge remains identifying genes linked to secondary metabolite biosynthesis, regulation and evolution.

Introduction: The Collaborative Network for European Clinical Trials for Children (c4c) is a public private partnership with a developed infrastructure across European sites to support the design and conduct of multi-national academic and industry paediatric clinical trials. This paper aims to review the learning points identified during co-development of c4c processes by academic and industry partners.

Background: Transurethral resection of the prostate is the gold standard for treating benign prostate enlargement that presents with complications or worsening lower urinary tract symptoms despite medical treatment. We report the experience of transurethral resection of the prostate in indigenous community in the sub-Saharan Africa.
Methods: Arrangements were made with selected communities for transportation of endoscopic instruments by road.
