Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is prevalent among children and is associated with elevated blood pressure (BP), posing a risk for future hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. While the roles of gut microbiota and systemic inflammation in OSAS pathogenesis are recognized in adults and animal models, their impact on pediatric BP remains less understood. This cross-sectional study explored the relationships between polysomnographic parameters, gut microbiota, systemic inflammation, and BP in 60 children with OSAS.

Changes in postural control associated with clinical practice or specific conditions such as the presence of neck pain remain unexplored in dental students. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the time-course changes in postural control complexity among dental students enrolled in clinical practice, comparing those with and without neck pain. We used an online Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire for group allocation and center of pressure (CoP) oscillations with a tri-axial Bertec force plate.

Purpose: The aim of the research was to observe the variations in brain activity between young cervical spondylosis patients with chronic neck pain (CNP) and healthy volunteers in the resting state and to investigate the central remodeling mechanisms in the patients.
Patients And Methods: Our study recruited 31 patients with chronic neck pain from cervical spondylosis and 30 healthy volunteers. Eventually, 29 patients (CNP group) and 29 healthy volunteers (HC group) completed the acquisition of clinical data and resting-state functional magnetic resonance ( BOLD-fMRI) amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (ALFF) data; in addition, we assessed the relationship between differentially active brain regions and clinical indicators.

Introduction: Tissue eosinophil count (TEC) is recommended for defining Type 2 chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). TEC is usually assessed by a one-time polyp biopsy. Because TEC may change over time, its reliability for diagnosing type 2 CRSwNP has not been previously assessed.

Purpose: To examine alterations in Blood Oxygen Level-Dependent (BOLD) resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) signals, utilizing regional homogeneity (ReHo) and fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (fALFF) metrics, within activated brain regions. Additionally, this study aims to explore the relationship between these neural changes and clinical characteristics, as well as emotional states, in patients diagnosed with unilateral Meniere's disease (MD).
Method: The study included 24 patients diagnosed with left Meniere's disease (L-MD), 25 patients diagnosed with right Meniere's disease (R-MD), and 23 healthy control subjects.
