Quantum coherence plays a major role in the promotion for quantum information processing and designing quantum technology. Since coherence is rooted in superposition principle, it is vital to understand the coherence change with respect to superpositions. Here we study the bounds for coherence of quantum superpositions in high dimension. We consider three most frequently used measures of coherence, i.e. the relative entropy of coherence, l norm of coherence and robustness of coherence. For a quantum state (an arbitrary dimension) and its arbitrary decomposition, we give the upper and lower bounds for coherence of the superposition state in terms of the coherence of the states being superposed.

This study investigates the motion of an electron in a Coulomb potential driven by an intense linearly polarized XUV laser pulse analyzed using Gordon-Volkov wave functions. The wave function is decomposed into spherical partial waves to model the scattered electron wave packet after the recollision with a proton. This interaction triggers high harmonic generation, producing coherent X-ray pulses with frequencies that are integer multiples of the XUV field.

The frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) technology combined with optical phased array (OPA) is promising for the all-solid-state light detection and ranging (LiDAR). We propose and experimentally demonstrate a silicon integrated OPA combined with an optical frequency microcomb for parallel LiDAR system. For realizing the parallel wavelengths emission consistent with Rayleigh criterion, the wide waveguide beyond single mode region combined with the bound state in the continuum (BIC) effect is harnessed to obtain an ultra-long optical grating antenna array.

In the GWAS model, thresholding is common strategy to indicate deviation of expected range of -(s), and it can be used to find the distribution of true positive associations under or over of test statistics. Therefore, the threshold plays a critical role to identify reliable and significant associations in wide genome, while the proportion of false positive results is relatively low.

In this study, we aim to validate the analytical Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) equation for determining attenuation coefficients using a 1310 nm Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system. Our experimental results successfully confirm the validity of the equation, achieving unprecedented precision with a standard deviation below 0.01 mm for intralipid samples.

Controlled quantum teleportation is an important extension of multipartite quantum teleportation, which plays an indispensable role in building quantum networks. Compared with discrete variable counterparts, continuous variable controlled quantum teleportation can generate entanglement deterministically and exhibit higher superiority of the supervisor's authority. Here, we define a measure to quantify the control power in continuous variable controlled quantum teleportation via Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-type entangled coherent state channels.
