Background: To compare the effect of minimally invasive and open transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) approaches in fusing the L4-L5 segment and predicting the potential risk of adjacent segment degeneration (ASD).
Methods: A computed tomography scan image was processed and the three-dimensional model of the L1-L5 spine was reconstructed. The minimally invasive and Open TLIF finite element models were constructed.
Purpose: Primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction graft failure remains a significant health concern in young patients. Despite the high incidence of poor graft integration in these patients and the resulting high failure rate, little consideration has been given to the quality of the bone into which the graft is anchored at reconstruction. Therefore, we investigated post ACL injury mineralized tissue changes in the ACL femoral entheses of young males and compared them to changes previously reported for young females.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors associated with non-invasive mechanical ventilation (NIMV) failure in acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema (ACPE) diagnosed in the emergency department.
Methods: This study was prospectively conducted at the Ege University Faculty of Medicine ED between February 19, 2021 and December 01, 2021. Patients who received NIMV with ACPE were included.

Magnetic refrigeration leads the current commercialization efforts of ambient caloric cooling technologies, is considered among its peers most promising in terms of anticipated energy efficiency gain, and allows for complete elimination of harmful coolants. By now, functional magnetocaloric components (so-called regenerators) based on Mn-substituted and hydrogenated LaFeSi alloys are commercially available. However, this alloy system exhibits magnetostriction, is susceptible to fracture, oxidation, and does not passivate well, rendering it prone to failure and corrosion, particularly when using water as favorable heat exchange medium.
