This work reports a novel approach where three phase partitioning (TPP) was combined with microwave for extraction of mangiferin from leaves of . Soxhlet extraction was used as reference method, which yielded 57 mg/g in 5 h. Under optimal conditions such as microwave irradiation time 5 min, ammonium sulphate concentration 40% w/v, power 272 W, solute to solvent ratio 1:20, slurry to -butanol ratio 1:1, soaking time 5 min and duty cycle 50%, the mangiferin yield obtained was 54 mg/g by microwave assisted three phase partitioning extraction (MTPP). Thus extraction method developed resulted into higher extraction yield in a shorter span, thereby making it an interesting alternative prior to down-stream processing.

Rituximab (RTX) has been reported to effectively maintain remission in anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis (AAV). In this multicenter study involving 57 patients who achieved remission after 24 weeks, we evaluated the effectiveness of RTX in maintaining remission in patients with AAV. Patients were divided into three groups based on RTX administration: continuous, induction phase-only, and maintenance phase-only groups.

NIM-1324 is an oral investigational new drug for autoimmune disease that targets the Lanthionine Synthetase C-like 2 (LANCL2) pathway. Through activation of LANCL2, NIM-1324 modulates CD4+ T cells to bias signaling and cellular metabolism toward increased immunoregulatory function while providing similar support to phagocytes. In primary human immune cells, NIM-1324 reduces type I interferon and inflammatory cytokine (IL-6, IL-8) production.

Background: Implementation and hybrid effectiveness-implementation trials aspire to speed the translation of science into practice by generating crucial evidence for improving the uptake of effective health interventions. By design, they pose unique recruitment and retention challenges due to their aims, units of analysis, and sampling plans, which typically require many clinical sites (i.e.

Health-Related Quality of Life in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: A Systematic Review of Phase III Clinical Trials.

J Clin Med

January 2025

Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, Section of Translational Pharmacology, University of Turin, Regione Gonzole 10, 10043 Orbassano, Italy.

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common rheumatic disease in childhood, leading to severe disability and negatively affecting patients' health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the adoption, reporting and assessment methodology of HRQoL in phase III clinical trials involving children with JIA. An electronic and manual search was conducted to identify primary and secondary publications of pharmacological trials conducted between 2012 and 2023.

: Salvage treatment options have not been validated in relapsed or refractory germ cell tumors. Moreover, the study populations including these patients have different heterogeneities. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of three cycles of TIP sequential high-dose chemotherapy in patients with testicular non-seminomatous germ cell tumors who relapsed or had a refractory course after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.
