Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder characterized by central facial redness, papulopustular lesions, and occasionally phymatous changes. There is ongoing debate regarding rosacea as a cutaneous disease with systemic inflammatory effects and its associations with cardiovascular diseases. Although the pathogenesis of both atherosclerosis and rosacea demonstrate notable similarities, particularly in the central role of inflammation, significant gaps in understanding these connections remain.

Erlotinib, an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), is currently used in the therapy of several solid malignancies. This agent has been associated with several dermatological side-effects, the most common being papulo-pustular acneiform rash. Herein we describe a unique skin effect in a patient treated with erlotinib for non-small cell lung cancer.

Background: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is beneficial for managing rosacea, and chlorin e6 derivative-mediated photodynamic therapy (STBF-PDT) has demonstrated efficacy in reducing acne lesions with mild adverse reactions.
Objectives: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of STBF-PDT for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rosacea.
Methods: In this prospective, randomised, evaluator-blind controlled study, patients with moderate-to-severe rosacea were assigned to receive up to six STBF-PDT sessions or 100 mg of doxycycline daily for eight weeks, followed by a 24-week follow-up.

Arthritis is one of the most common symptoms of Behcet's Disease (BD) observed in 57% of Japanese patients with BD. The relationship between arthritis and other clinical symptoms of BD and the impact of arthritis on the quality of life (QOL) of patients with BD are still unclear. Therefore, the current study aimed to clarify the differences in clinical symptoms depending on the presence or absence of arthritis and evaluate the impact of arthritis on QOL in these patients.
