Tetanus is a rare but life-threatening neurological disorder caused by neurotoxins produced by . Although mortality rates have significantly decreased with modern intensive care, severe cases remain challenging due to prolonged Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stays, complications, and rehabilitation barriers. We report the case of an 81-year-old male with a history of hypertension and femoral neck fracture who developed severe tetanus following a contaminated forehead laceration.

Background: The City of Boston has faced unprecedented challenges with substance use amidst changes to the illicit drug supply and increased visibility of homelessness. Among its responses, Boston developed six low threshold harm reduction housing (HRH) sites geared towards supporting the housing needs of people who use drugs (PWUD) and addressing health and safety concerns around geographically concentrated tent encampments. HRH sites are transitional supportive housing that adhere to a "housing first" approach where abstinence is not required and harm reduction services and supports are co-located.

Introduction: To examine legislative efforts to regulate new and emerging tobacco and nicotine products (NETNPs) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) between 2017 and 2022.
Aims And Methods: Analysis of online national legislation databases to track NETNP bills using standard snowball search methods.
Results: Bills were identified in 15 out of the 33 LAC countries, accounting for a total of 91 bills targeting NETNPs.
