Halide perovskites have attracted recent attention as thermoelectric materials due to their low thermal conductivity combined with good charge transport characteristics. The tin halide perovskites hold the highest within metal halide perovskites and offer lower toxicity than lead-containing perovskites that are well-known for photovoltaics. In this study, we partially substitute Sn (II) with Ge (II) to form mixed metal CsSnGeI perovskite thin films that have substantially improved stability, remaining in the black orthorhombic phase after hours of ambient air exposure.

Combined antiretroviral therapy (cART) has dramatically improved the quality of life for people living with HIV (PLWH). However, over 4 million PLWH are over the age of fifty and experience accompanying HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND). To understand how HIV impacts the central nervous system, a reliable and feasible model of HIV is necessary.

Purpose Of Review: Demonstrate the impact of allocation system design on access to the waitlist and transplantation for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD).

Recent Findings: Minoritized groups are more likely to be declined from transplant listing owing to psychosocial criteria. Lack of consistent definitions, screening tools with differential subgroup validity, and insufficient evidence-base contribute to concerns about reliance on psychosocial factors in transplant listing decisions.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy has dramatically improved the prognosis for some cancers but can be associated with myocarditis, adverse cardiovascular events, and mortality.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) model to predict the increased likelihood for the development of ICI-related myocarditis and adverse cardiovascular events.

Methods: Cancer patients treated with ICI at a tertiary institution from 2011 to 2022 were reviewed.

Background And Aims: Recently, demands towards identifying various molecules in support of stress detection and potential clinical utilization are dramatically increasing. Moreover, the accuracy with which researchers quantify these informative molecules is now far more improved when compared to the past. As RNA or protein markers are conventionally detected via repeated invasive procedures from blood, it is critical to develop secure technologies to obtain the desired information via less stressful methodologies, such as saliva collection.
