The most frequent intraabdominal complication after lost stones are abscesses, which account for 65% of complications. The main risk factors are: old age, male gender, surgical difficulty, leakage of lithiasis of more than 1.5 cm or more than 15 stones, perihepatic location and pigmented gallstones. We report the case of a 73-year-old man with a medical history of hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney failure and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

The intrauterine device (IUD) is an important and highly effective means of contraception. Migration of the IUD, post implantation, out of the uterus is an infrequent complication, and its subsequent migration into the urinary bladder with formation of secondary bladder calculi, is even more infrequently reported. The authors report a 51 year old woman who had had her last child delivered via cesarean section 16 years ago.

Species identification within the aphid genus Pemphigus Hartig, 1839 poses challenges due to morphological similarities and host-plant associations. Aphids of this genus generally exhibit complex life cycles involving primary hosts (poplars) and secondary (mostly unrelated herbaceous) host-plants, with some species relying solely on root-feeding generation. An example is a representative of the genus Pemphigus, trophically associated with grass roots, found in the High Arctic Svalbard archipelago.

Ureteral wall thickness (UWT) was proposed as a potential predictor for spontaneous stone passage (SSP). In earlier studies, the effect could not be isolated from stone size. Accordingly, we sought to determine whether UWT, alone or combined with stone size, could enhance SSP predictability.

Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effects of dental stone molds and three dimensional (3D)-printed molds on the color difference, translucency, surface roughness, and hardness of maxillofacial silicones.
Methods: To prepare molds, a rectangular body 20 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness, was designed with computer-aided design software. Two different dental gypsum molds were prepared with the lost-wax technique.
