In this editorial we initially expose the agreements that have set the mechanisms to guarantee safety and fair treatment to human subjects in research. Later on, we offer alternatives from translational and multidisciplinary research to promote education and humanities research in health.

Background: Contrary to the impact of screening, the effect of long-term surveillance on the quality of life of patients with an abdominal aortic aneurysm is not well known. Therefore, the aim of this study was to describe patient-reported outcomes of patients with an abdominal aortic aneurysm approaching the surgical threshold.
Methods: This multicentre, observational cohort study included patients with an abdominal aortic aneurysm with a maximum aneurysm diameter of greater than or equal to 40 mm.

Social anxiety impairs interpersonal relationships, which rely heavily on prosocial behaviors essential for healthy social interactions. The influence of social anxiety on the dynamics of helping others, through stages of prosocial choice stimulus presentation and effort, is not well understood. This study combines two experiments that integrate effort-based decision-making tasks with electroencephalography to distinguish between the choice stimulus presentation and effort phases of prosocial behavior.
