Learning Health Systems (LHSs) strive to continuously integrate innovations and evidence-based practices in healthcare settings, thereby enhancing programmatic and patient outcomes. Duration of untreated psychosis (DUP) is a variable worthy of empirical attention, as the construct has been identified as a leading predictor of psychotic spectrum disorder prognosis and, despite the proliferation of early intervention for psychosis (EIP) teams across the U.S.

The AMP Clinical Genomics Bioinformatician Body of Knowledge Steering Committee of the Informatics Subdivision, Association for Molecular Pathology, Rockville, Maryland; Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Genetics, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The use of next-generation sequencing and other high-throughput technologies in the clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory requires the application of bioinformatics pipelines and other computational tools to analyze, visualize, and store these clinical data. Clinical bioinformaticians, individuals with the skills to develop, validate, and deploy these tools in a clinical setting, are needed to ensure that these molecular diagnostic technologies can be appropriately used for clinical care. Building on existing expertise in informatics, next-generation sequencing, and clinical molecular diagnostics, the Association for Molecular Pathology has generated a series to establish an initial clinical bioinformatician body of knowledge.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of tort reform laws passed in 2011 capping noneconomic damages in North Carolina and Tennessee on rates and adjusted per user costs of tests, imaging, and procedures in the Medicare fee-for-service population.
Study Setting And Design: State-level synthetic difference-in-differences, adjusting for the percent of FFS Medicare beneficiaries in the state who were female, had ever been on Medicare Advantage, were eligible for Medicaid for at least 1 month of the year, and total state risk-adjusted, standardized per-capita costs. Analyses of North Carolina and Tennessee were performed separately.

Antidepressant medication adherence patterns are inconsistent in adolescents with anxiety and related disorders, and the clinical and demographic features predicting adherence are poorly understood. In an ongoing single-site prospective trial involving adolescents (aged 12-17) with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition anxiety disorders treated with escitalopram, adherence was measured for 12 weeks using electronic monitoring caps. Adherence patterns were examined using qualitative and unsupervised clustering approaches, and predictors of adherence were evaluated using logistic regression, with demographic (age, sex, and race) and clinical variables (e.

Primary care facilities' autonomy and the factors that influence it are understudied. Direct facility financing (DFF) is gaining popularity in low- and middle-income countries as a modality to finance primary care facilities. Tanzania has introduced DFF with the objectives of streamlining resource allocation, fostering fiscal decentralization, and granting autonomy to health facilities for enhanced service readiness and responsiveness.
