Sandra L. Lowery, BSN, RN, CRRN, CCM, CNLCP, is the owner and President of CCMI Associates. Since 1986, Sandi has consulted nationally for more than 300 payer and provider organizations for case management planning, operations, both in public and private sectors, while managing an independent case management practice. Her specialty is training case managers and currently trains more than 500 case managers annually. She has served as a case management expert in legal cases involving case managers. Sandi served as past president of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), 2000-2001 and is the founder and past president of Case Management Society of New England (CMSNE). She was an adjunct faculty member in case management at University Systems of New Hampshire from 1998 to 2010, clinical preceptor for case management, University of Massachusetts, 1996, and has served as a member, advisory boards for Professional Case Management & the Case Management Advisor. Sandi received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the State University of New York and was the 1995 recipient of the "Case Manager of the Year" awards by CMSA and CMSNE in 2006. She served as a member of the National Task Force on Case Management, CMSA's Task Force for the 2002 Standards of Practice, the Reference Committee for CMSA's 1995 Standards of Practice, and the Expert Panel for the CCM credential. Sandi is an international lecturer and author on case management topics. She is nationally certified in rehabilitation nursing, case management, and nurse life care planning.
