: The proton-coupled amino acid transporter (PAT1) is an intestinal absorptive solute carrier responsible for the oral bioavailability of some GABA-mimetic drug substances such as vigabatrin and gaboxadol. In the present work, we investigate if non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug substances (NSAIDs) interact with substrate transport via human (h)PAT1. : The transport of substrates via hPAT1 was investigated in Caco-2 cells using radiolabeled substrate uptake and in oocytes injected with , measuring induced currents using the two-electrode voltage clamp technique.

DPP4 is an enzyme with multiple natural substrates and probable involvement in various mechanisms. It constitutes a drug target for the treatment of diabetes II, although, also related to other disorders. While a number of drugs with competitive inhibitory action and covalent binding capacity are available, undesired side effects exist partly attributed to drug kinetics, and research for finding novel, potent, and safer compounds continues.

Movement and locomotion are controlled by large neuronal circuits like the cortex-basal ganglia (BG)-thalamus loop. Besides the inhibitory thalamic output, the BG directly control movement via specialized connections with the brainstem. Whether other parallel loops with similar logic exist is presently unclear.

This work presents the development of a rhodamine-based colorimetric and turn-on fluorescent chemosensor (P1) designed for selective recognition of Ni ions. Chemosensor P1 exhibited remarkable sensitivity and selectivity for Ni ions, exhibiting clear colorimetric and fluorescence responses. The binding interactions were meticulously examined using UV-Vis.

A sensitive fluorescence biosensor was developed for microcystin-LR (MC-LR) detection using H1, H2, and H3 DNA probes as sensing elements. The aptamer in H1 can recognize the target. H2 was labeled with FAM and BHQ.
