An inherently chiral metallocorrole has been resolved for the first time by means of HPLC on a chiral stationary phase. For the compound in question, a homoleptic tungsten biscorrole, the absolute configurations of the enantiomers were assigned using online HPLC-ECD measurements in conjunction with time-dependent CAM-B3LYP calculations, which provided accurate simulations of the ECD spectra.

Two-dimensional van der Waals (2D vdW) materials have attracted widespread research interest due to their unique physical properties and potential application prospects. In this study, an atomistic-level dynamical simulation method is employed to investigate the chirality of antiferromagnetic resonance modes in CrI bilayer. Beyond the typical observations of a linear increase in high-frequency resonance mode and a linear decrease in low-frequency resonance mode, we have identified a distinct magnetization precession chirality in the CrI bilayer at low magnetic fields: Spins in different layers exhibit opposite precession chirality.

The development of efficient immobilization support for the enhancement of enzyme activity and recyclability is a highly desirable objective. Single-crystalline ordered macro-microporous ZIF-8 (SOM-ZIF-8), has emerged as a highly effective matrix for enzyme immobilization, however, the inherent hydrophobic nature limits its further advancement. Herein, we have customized the immobilization of the Pseudomonas cepacia lipase (LP) in the modification-channels of SOM-ZIF-8 by functionalizing the inner surface-properties with polyethylene glycol (PEG) (LP@SOM-ZIF-8-PEG), and significant enhancement of the activity and (thermal, solvent and cyclic) stability can be realized.

Activity and autonomous motion are fundamental aspects of many living and engineering systems. Here, the scale of biological agents covers a wide range, from nanomotors, cytoskeleton, and cells, to insects, fish, birds, and people. Inspired by biological active systems, various types of autonomous synthetic nano- and micromachines have been designed, which provide the basis for multifunctional, highly responsive, intelligent active materials.

Circular dichroism (CD) can distinguish the handedness of the chiral molecules. However, it is typically very weak due to vanishing absorption at low molecular concentrations. Here, we suggest thermal CD (TCD) for chiral detection, leveraging the temperature difference in the chiral sample when subjected to right- and left-circularly polarized excitations.
