Neurological complications are not uncommon in patients with renal transplantation, mostly affecting the central nervous system, and less frequently the peripheral nerves. BK virus infection is relatively common in transplant recipients and in some cases may lead to neurological complications. In this report, we present an interesting case of a patient who developed acute axonal motor polyneuropathy in the course of BK virus infection 3 months after kidney transplantation. After BK virus clearence in blood, a significant improvement was noted in her polyneuropathy. In patients with acute axonal motor polyneuropathy after transplantation BK virus-induced polyneuropathy should be excluded.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of minimally invasive hematoma evacuation for the treatment of traumatic intracranial hematoma (TIH).
Methods: Ninety patients diagnosed with traumatic intracerebral hematoma at Shengli Oilfield Central Hospital from August 2019 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were divided into the craniotomy group (C group, n = 45) and the minimally invasive hematoma evacuation group (MIHE group, n = 45).
Unlabelled: The most frequent cause of nephritic syndrome in the pediatric population is acute post-infectious glomerulonephritis (PIGN). A rare complication is posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), characterized by subcortical vasogenic cerebral edema associated with variable neurological symptoms. The development of autoimmune hemolytic anemia is an atypical clinical presentation.

Adult spinal deformity comprises a heterogeneous group of disorders that primarily affects older patients and can have a significant negative affect on health-related quality of life. Operative treatment for adult spinal deformity typically entails posterior instrumented fusions that have demonstrated the potential to significantly improve health-related quality of life outcomes. However, until fusion is achieved, the instrumentation providing structural support is subject to repetitive cyclical loading that disproportionately fatigues high-stress areas and can result in instrumentation failure.

Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) has achieved popularity because it facilitates monitoring of the functional integrity of neural structures under general anesthesia. It aids in the early detection of injury and minimizes postoperative neurologic deficit or neurologic morbidity from surgical manipulations of various neurologic structures. The patient mentioned in this case report presented with lower limb radiculopathy and was diagnosed with diastematomyelia Type II, and she was planned for surgical intervention under general anesthesia.
