Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is one of the inflammatory rheumatic diseases that can potentially be detected by positron emission tomography/CT. High fluorine-18 fludeoxyglucose (F-FDG) accumulation around the shoulders, sternoclavicular and hip joints are the most common pre-treatment features of patients with PMR. Another common sign is increased F-FDG uptake in extra-articular regions between columnal spinous processes, near ischial tuberosities and in the praepubic area. Some patients also present with high F-FDG uptake in main arteries, corresponding to the characteristics of giant cell arteritis. It is possible to observe a decrease or even a disappearance of F-FDG uptake after effective therapy, an event which may be useful for the monitoring of treatment as well as for detection of PMR relapse.

Background: Anesthesia can significantly impact positron emission tomography (PET) neuroimaging in preclinical studies. Therefore, understanding these effects is crucial for accurate interpretation of the results. In this experiment, we investigate the effect of [F]-labeled glucose analog fluorodeoxyglucose ([F]FDG) uptake in the brains of rats anesthetized with two commonly used anesthetics for rodents: isoflurane, an inhalation anesthetic, and Hypnorm-Dormicum, a combination injection anesthetic.

Purpose: As dual-phase amyloid-PET can evaluate amyloid (A) and neurodegeneration (N) with a single tracer injection, dual-phase tau-PET might be able to provide both tau (T) and N. Our study aims to assess the association of early-phase tau-PET scans and F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET and their comparability in discriminating Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients and differentiating neurodegenerative patterns.
Methods: 58 subjects evaluated at the Geneva Memory Center underwent dual-phase F-Flortaucipir-PET with early-phase acquisition (eTAU) and F-FDG-PET within 1 year.

A 61-year-old male presented with hematemesis and melena. Biopsy and immunohistochemistry confirmed mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma in the posterior wall of the gastric antrum, prompting further evaluation with F-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). In addition to elevated uptake in the gastric antrum, F-FDG PET/CT showed diffuse uptake in multiple bone marrow, initially suspected to indicate bone marrow involvement by lymphoma.

Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a type of skin T-cell lymphoma with a favorable prognosis. Some patients may experience recurrence, but systemic involvement is rare. Some studies suggest that systemic progression is associated with poor prognosis.

Background And Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the correlation between Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) levels and Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) metabolic parameters, including spleen and bone marrow FDG uptake and tumor heterogeneity in non-luminal breast cancers (NLBC), and to elucidate their association with survival outcomes.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data from 100 females with stage 2-4 NLBC who underwent pretreatment F-FDG Positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET/CT). TIL was scored based on Hematoxylin-Eosin-stained specimens and F-FDG PET metabolic parameters, including maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), mean standardized uptake value (SUVmean), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), total lesion glycolysis (TLG), liver, spleen, and bone marrow FDG uptake were calculated.
