Objective: To investigate the role of PCBP1 in the inhibition of lung adenocarcinoma proliferation by carbon irradiation.
Methods: A549 cells were irradiated with different doses of carbon ions to observe clonal survival and detect changes in cell proliferation. Whole transcriptome sequencing and the Illumina platform were used to analyze the differentially expressed genes in A549 cells after carbon ion irradiation.

Background: Prior research indicates a connection between immune-related adverse events (irAEs) and improved progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in non-small cell lung cancer. However, limited data exists for extensive stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC).
Methods: This study included all ES-SCLC patients who received at least one dose of an immune checkpoint inhibitor between 2 January 2011 and 4 July 2022 using a large retrospective registry from a single institution.

This approach is particularly valuable in understanding diverse immune responses to disease by environmental exposures. This study investigates the inflammatory responses to acute exposures to mainstream cigarette smoke (CS) and environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) in two genetically diverse mouse strains, CC002/UncJ (UNC) & Diversity Outbred (J:DO).

Purpose: Conventional radiotherapy (CRT) has limited local control and poses a high risk of severe toxicity in large lung tumors. This study aimed to develop an integrated treatment plan that combines CRT with lattice boost radiotherapy (LRT) and monitors its dosimetric characteristics.
Methods: This study employed cone-beam computed tomography from 115 lung cancer patients to develop a U-Net + + deep learning model for generating synthetic CT (sCT).
