Background: The da Vinci Xi has been developed to overcome some of the limitations of the previous platform, thereby increasing the acceptance of its use in robotic multiorgan surgery.

Methods: Between January 2015 and October 2015, 10 patients with synchronous tumors of the colorectum and others abdominal organs underwent robotic combined resections with the da Vinci Xi. Trocar positions respected the Universal Port Placement Guidelines provided by Intuitive Surgical for "left lower quadrant," with trocars centered on the umbilical area, or shifted 2 to 3 cm to the right or to the left, depending on the type of combined surgical procedure.

Results: All procedures were completed with the full robotic technique. Simultaneous procedures in same quadrant or left quadrant and pelvis, or left/right and upper, were performed with a single docking/single targeting approach; in cases of left/right quadrant or right quadrant/pelvis, we performed a dual-targeting operation. No external collisions or problems related to trocar positions were noted. No patient experienced postoperative surgical complications and the mean hospital stay was 6 days.

Conclusions: The high success rate of full robotic colorectal resection combined with other surgical interventions for synchronous tumors, suggest the efficacy of the da Vinci Xi in this setting.

Background And Objective: Thymic epithelial tumors, including thymomas and thymic carcinomas, represent the most common mediastinal tumors and account for up to 50% of all anterior mediastinal tumors. For early stages of these thymic tumors, complete resection of the entire thymus is the recommended treatment. The transition from open surgery to video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and recently to robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) has fundamentally altered the treatment of thymic tumors.

Some large social environments are expected to use Covered Path Planning (CPP) methods to handle daily tasks such as cleaning and disinfection. These environments are usually large in scale, chaotic in structure, and contain many obstacles. The proposed method is based on the improved SCAN-STC (Spanning Tree Coverage) method and significantly reduces the solution time by optimizing the backtracking module of the algorithm.

The CT (computed tomography) scanner has been used for many years now not only for medical measurements but also in many industries, for example, in defectoscopy for measuring sheet thickness and checking the joining of materials, as well as for measuring the geometry of individual components. This type of scanner is a good complement to coordinate contact and non-contact measurements for intra-structural measurements and inaccessible places. The variety of materials, however, makes it very difficult to select individual CT parameters.

The most common histological subtypes of endometrial cancer consist of endometrioid and uterine serous carcinoma, with the latter being more aggressive and accompanied by poor prognosis. Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. HER2 positivity can be diagnosed in many solid tumors.

Lighting is crucial for the development of broilers as it affects their growth performance, oxidative stress, and overall health. This study investigates the impact of full-spectrum light, infrared light, and LED white light exposure on the growth performance, oxidative stress markers, and cecal microbiota of medium-growth yellow-feathered broilers. A total of 216 medium-growth yellow-feathered chicks (Yuhuang No.
