This study aimed to determine the psychometric properties of sociocultural attitude towards appearance questionnaire in female adolescents. This was a methodological study. The English version of the questionnaire was translated into Persian, using forward-backward method. Then the face validity, content validity and reliability were checked. To ensure face validity, the questionnaire was given to 25 female adolescents, a psychologist and three nurses, who were required to evaluate the items with respect to problems, ambiguity, relativity, proper terms and grammar, and understandability. For content validity, 15 experts in psychology and nursing, who met the inclusion criteria, were required. They were asked to assess the qualitative of content validity. To determine the quantitative content validity, content validity index and content validity ratio were calculated. At the end, internal consistency of the items was assessed, using Cronbach's alpha method. According to the expert judgments, content validity ratio was 0.81 and content validity index was 0.91. Besides, the reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed with Cronbach's alpha = 0.91, and physical and developmental areas showed the highest reliability indices. : The aforementioned questionnaire could be used in researches to assess female adolescents' self-concept. This can be a stepping-stone towards identification of problems and improvement of adolescents' body image.

Simulators allow junior otolaryngology residents to practice the delicate procedure of pressure equalization tube (PET) insertion. However, most simulators lack the ability to mimic the differing anatomic complexities between patients, such as variable external auditory canal (EAC) size. We developed a novel low-cost, medium-fidelity 3-dimensional-printed PET simulator with different EAC sizes to better reflect procedure complexity.

Background: Pharmacotherapy of chronic kidney disease (CKD) consists of prescribing myriad of drugs such as antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and phosphate binders to delay disease progression and control the comorbidities, resulting in inherent variability in prescriptions. In addition, tendency to self-medicate may further aggravate the condition. Hence, the present study was planned to assess self-medication practices and variability in prescription patterns in CKD patients.

Liposomal nanocarriers are able to carry peptides for efficient and selective delivery of radioactive tracer and drugs into the tumors. Angiopoietin 2 (ANGPT2) is an excellent biomarker for precise diagnosis and therapy of glioma. The present study aimed to design ANGPT2-specific peptides to modify the surface of nanoliposomes containing doxorubicin (Dox) for integrative imaging and targeting therapy of glioma.

Background: Better affordability of data plans and an increase in "budget" smartphones have resulted in an exponential rise in internet and smartphone users. The ease of access to sexually explicit material (SEM) coupled with adolescents' impulsivity makes them prone to excessive SEM exposure and may affect the development of sexuality via the perceived realism of such content. This study was done to study the influence between problematic smartphone usage (PSU) and sexuality development among late adolescent boys.
