Background: Vasopressor usage during liver transplant is related to decreased hepatic flow, graft failure, and mortality. We measured plasma Copeptin levels in liver transplant patients based on vasopressor requirements. We hypothesize that preoperative plasma copeptin measurement helps predict the vasopressor infusion requirement during liver transplantation in preoperative evaluation.

Background: Limb-salvage surgery for malignant bone tumors can be associated with considerable perioperative blood loss. The aim of this randomized controlled trial was to assess the safety and efficacy of the intraoperative infusion of tranexamic acid (TXA) in children and adolescents undergoing limb-salvage surgery.
Methods: All participants were <18 years of age at the time of surgery and diagnosed with a malignant bone tumor of the femur that was treated with resection and reconstruction with a megaprosthesis.

Background: Prepancreatic postduodenal portal vein (PPPV) is a rare anatomic variant where the portal vein (PV) runs anterior to the pancreas and posterior to the duodenum. Only 20 cases of PPPV, all in adults, have been reported in literature. We report the first case of PPPV in a pediatric patient discovered intraoperatively during total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation (TPIAT) and the third known case in which the PPPV could be isolated intraoperatively.

Objective: Gastric cancer is a prevalent and significant malignancy that occurs throughout the world, with a particularly pronounced impact on the elderly population. This study aims to compare the efficacy of nalbuphine and dezocine in managing pain following laparoscopic radical gastrectomy.
Method: Elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic radical gastrectomy were divided into a nalbuphine (n=50) group and a dezocine (n=50) group according to their anesthesia agent.

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) presents significant challenges in neonatal management, particularly in the context of anesthesia. This case report details the successful anesthetic management of a five-day-old neonate with left-sided CDH requiring thoracoscopic repair. A five-day-old neonate, delivered via emergency cesarean section due to breech presentation, presented with severe respiratory distress and was diagnosed with left-sided CDH.
