The high morbidity and mortality rate of individuals with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) / acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) coinfected with (MTB) is a tough challenge for current global tuberculosis prevention and control efforts. HIV/MTB coinfection is more complex than a single infection, and the interaction between the two diseases aggravates the deterioration caused by the disease, resulting in increased hospitalizations and deaths. Rapid screening and early diagnosis facilitate the timely initiation of anti-tuberculosis treatment in HIV/MTB coinfected individuals, thereby reducing transmission and the incidence of adverse prognoses.

The binding interactions between okadaic acid (OA) aptamers and OA molecules are crucial for developing effective detection methods. This study aims to identify the recognition site and establish a reliable detection protocol through computational simulations and experimental validations. After determining the target sequence (OA-2), molecular docking simulations using Sybyl-X and H-dock were conducted to predict the binding affinity and interaction sites of OA aptamers with their targets.

Background: A rapid and equitable response is paramount to mitigating the spread and impact of an infectious disease public health emergency. Unfortunately, public health responses often integrate equity as a secondary component rather than a foundational one-a decision that can result in disproportionate effects of the epidemic on vulnerable populations and that may further fuel or worsen the ongoing health emergency. This paper introduces a framework grounded in health equity principles to guide the design and implementation of response efforts during infectious disease emergencies.
