High-field H NMR T relaxation studies were used to characterize the changes in the physical phases of water, NaCl, and dextrose solutions over a temperature range of -65 to 15 °C. The data were analyzed with the inverse Laplace transform and with a linear fit to the logarithm of the time domain signal. Two liquid phases were detected for the NaCl and dextrose solutions at lower temperatures and assigned to low and high concentrated solution domains. The high concentrated solution domain was found to be present between -30 and -5 °C in the NaCl solution and between -55 and -5 °C in the dextrose solution. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Background: We investigated whether shock wave (SW)-pretreated autologous adipocyte-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) seeded in the cell-sheet scaffold (CSS) could inhibit left ventricular (LV) remodeling and improve LV ejection fraction (LVEF) in old myocardial infarction (MI).
Methods: Mini-pigs ( n =20) were divided into group 1 (sham-operated control), group 2 (old MI), group 3 (old MI + autologous ADMSCs/1.0×10 7 in CSS on LV myocardium), and group 4 [old MI + SW (0.

Fluorescence molecular tomography (FMT) holds promise for early tumor detection by mapping fluorescent agents in three dimensions non-invasively with low cost. However, since ill-posedness and ill-condition due to strong scattering effects in biotissues and limited measurable data, current FMT reconstruction is still up against unsatisfactory accuracy, including location prediction and morphological preservation. To strike the above challenges, we propose a novel Sparse-Laplace hybrid graph manifold (SLHGM) model.

The development of numerous diseases, such as renal cyst, cancer, and viral infection, is closely associated with the pathological changes and defects in the cellular peripheral brush. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a potential new method to detect lesions of cellular peripheral brush. Here, a piecewise linear viscoelastic constitutive model of cell is established considering the joint contribution of the peripheral brush and intra-cellular structure.

The goal of this work is to provide a novel mathematical model that explains how certain physical variables propagate (acoustic-thermal-mechanical diffusive) as waves in a photoexcited non-Gaussian laser pulse semiconductor medium. Under the impact of acoustic pressure, the isotropic and homogeneous semiconductor medium is discussed concerning the fundamental equations according to charge carrier recombination processes with optoelectronic properties. Given the impact that relaxation times have on the governing equations.
