Background: Esophageal ultrasound with bronchoscope fine needle aspiration (EUS-B-FNA) is a valuable tool for the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer, complementing endobronchial lung ultrasound (EBUS). While generally considered safe, there is a notable lack of comprehensive knowledge within the interventional pulmonology community regarding potential complications.
Case Presentation: We present a case involving a 66-year-old male with squamous cell lung carcinoma undergoing mediastinal staging.
Introduction: Celiac Disease (CD)-related antibody positivity in children with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) may fluctuate and become negative spontaneously. There are uncertainties about the optimal tTG-IgA titre and timing of endoscopy in the diagnosis of CD, and this study aimed to contribute to the debate on the tTGA-IgA threshold titre for endoscopy decisions in children with T1D.
Methods: The data of 991 children with T1D who had undergone serologic evaluation for CD were analysed retrospectively.

Purpose: Despite ongoing discussions concerning clinical equivalence of laparoscopic total gastrectomy (LTG) compared to open total gastrectomy (OTG) in gastric cancer (GC) surgery, complementary evidence regarding financial implications is sparse. The aim of this study was to compare hospital associated expenses and perioperative outcomes between both approaches.
Methods: Clinicopathological and financial data from 80 consecutive GC patients undergoing LTG or OTG between 2015 and 2022 were investigated.

Data on Barrett's esophagus (BE) and esophageal cancer (EC) outcomes in patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) are limited. We aimed to determine the risk of prevalent BE (<1 year after endoscopy), incident BE (≥1 year after endoscopy), and incident EC in patients with versus without EoE, and to identify predictors of BE/EC in EoE patients. We identified adult patients in the Merative MarketScan Database who underwent first-time upper endoscopy between 2008 and 2020.

Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) is a novel technique within the field of third space endoscopy. The overarching principal is creation of a mucosal incision, careful dissection of the submucosal space using an electrosurgical knife to reach the muscularis (ie, tunneling), performing a controlled myotomy, and finally, closure of the mucosal incision. POEM was first developed for the management of achalasia, and now a decade of evidence shows the procedure is safe, effective, and highly reproducible.
