The lateral pterygoid muscle (LPM), a critical component of the masticatory muscles, typically comprises upper (SLPM) and lower (ILPM) heads. However, it is essential to note that the LPM's structure is not a constant feature, as the number of bundles and their topography can vary. Moreover, additional heads, such as medial and middle heads, and unique-headed configurations of the LPM have been reported.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing aerosol-generating procedures became fundamental, particularly in ophthalmic surgeries traditionally performed under general anesthesia (GA). Regional anesthesia, such as sub-Tenon's block (STB), is widely used in vitreoretinal surgeries, offering a safer alternative by avoiding airway manipulation. However, the altered orbital anatomy in patients with previous scleral explant surgery creates unique challenges to STB application.

, a common cause of gastroenteritis worldwide, has also been associated with rare extraintestinal infections, including myocarditis. We report a unique case of a 24-year-old male who presented with febrile diarrhea and acute chest pain. Diagnostic investigations revealed elevated cardiac troponin levels, normal electrocardiography findings, and myocardial inflammation on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, confirming the diagnosis of acute myocarditis.

: Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs), particularly when located in the cerebellum, pose unique clinical challenges due to the risk of hemorrhage and proximity to critical neurovascular structures. Surgical resection is often necessary to prevent further neurological deterioration. This case report describes the management of a symptomatic cerebellar cavernoma, emphasizing the use of microsurgical techniques and long-term follow-up.

: ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, primarily caused by acute thrombosis over atherosclerotic plaques. Simultaneous acute thrombosis in two coronary arteries is an exceptionally rare event. This report highlights a unique case of STEMI associated with cardiogenic shock due to dual coronary artery thrombosis and provides insights from a literature review on this rare condition.
