This study compares the efficacy and safety of tolvaptan versus fluid restriction in patients with hyponatremia and SIADH.
Materials And Methods: an observational cohort study was conducted with 186 patients with hyponatremia (Na+ < 135 mmol/L) due to SIADH, treated at the Hospital Universitario de Pontevedra between 2015 and 2022.

Objective: Two-jaw surgery corrects jaw deformities by adjusting occlusion and reshaping the jaw. This technique carries a high risk of pharyngolaryngeal injury due to frequent head and neck movements during intraoperative maneuvers and prolonged intubation, although the details remain unclear. Both anomalies result from exposure to various prenatal risk factors, most common during the first trimester of pregnancy.
