Here, this study overcomes the current barriers to efficient solid-phase synthesis of high-generation dendrimers by decreasing the loading ratio on the resin. G7 inverse poly(amidoamine) dendrimer is now prepared, for the first time, through a solid-phase synthesis using only 50% of the available reactive sites and by choosing a large resin. This preparation takes only 15 d to afford highly pure product in 80% yield with precipitation being the only purification procedure used. The results clearly show the amount of the initial monomer loaded on the resin to be a vital factor for the ability to use solid-phase synthesis to produce large dendrimers. This finding also sets stage for the applications of solid-phase synthesis for the preparation of other macromolecules.

This work presents a novel hydrothermally aided sol-gel method for preparation of mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) with a narrow particle size distribution and varied pore sizes. The method was carried out in alkaline media in presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) as dual templates and permitted the synthesis of spherical mesoporous silica with a high surface area (1011.42 m/g).

Solid-state batteries currently receive ample attention due to their potential to outperform lithium-ion batteries in terms of energy density when featuring next-generation anodes such as lithium metal or silicon. One key remaining challenge is identifying solid electrolytes that combine high ionic conductivity with stability in contact with the highly reducing potentials of next-generation anodes. Fully reduced electrolytes, based on irreducible anions, offer a promising solution by avoiding electrolyte decomposition altogether.

Herein, a kind of N-doped fluorescent carbon dots (N-CDs) were prepared by using melamine and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as precursors through a straightforward hydrothermal method. The designed sensor displayed a uniform nanoscale distribution, excellent hydrophilicity, and strong fluorescence emission with a fluorescence quantum yield of 37.98%.

Diethylene glycol dimethacrylate (DEG)-crosslinked polystyrene (PS) resin offers a promising alternative to traditional divinyl benzene (DVB)-PS resin for solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), particularly for challenging sequences with hydrophobic or bulky amino acids. DEG-PS resin's reduced hydrophobicity and enhanced flexibility improve synthesis efficiency, yielding peptides up to 28 residues with higher purities and yields compared to DVB-PS. In various syntheses, DEG-PS outperformed DVB-PS resin, with higher purities and yields for challenging peptides such as ABC analogue (73.
